4. Stick with ONE school. As stupid as it is, there are people out there who root for one school just for football and the other for basketball. (Alabama 🏈, Duke 🏀, etc.) . If you do this, unless if your #1 school doesn’t have a football team, then I’m not taking you seriously.

3. Proximity to Campus. Yes, I’ll give you a pass if you’re a Texas fan if you didn’t go there, as long as you live in the state, preferably close to the campus. Anything shorter than a 3 hour drive is valid, but living in a completely different state will not be.

2. Have family members attend the college you like. This one is also self explanatory. Whether it’s your parents, siblings or cousins, cheering for a school involved with your bloodline is also valid. (This one kinda applies to me lol).

1. Attend the college you root for. Pretty self explanatory. If you’re an Ohio State fan that actually went to Ohio State, then good on you! . This can apply to undergrad, masters, etc. Either way you get the point here.
