All this! And yet we double down!.
Schools have one job: academic instruction. But instead of more teaching, we keep hiring therapists, counselors, and interventionists, roles that do not improve outcomes and often distract from learning. The “whole child” narrative is the perfect scapegoat. Academic outcomes.
