We are saddened to learn that Elaine Feinstein (b. 1930), celebrated writer and Carcanet poet, has passed away peacefully at the age of 88. She was one of Carcanet's dearest and oldest friends, and she will be deeply missed.

Hilda (H. D.) Doolittle was a major American poet, novelist & memoirist. She is strongly associated with both early 20th Century avant-garde & modernism. We published 11 of her books, starting in 1995 when we republished her major work Helen in Egypt.
