Albuminuria has a linear association with poor kidney and heart outcomes. Sacubitril/valsartan: hold my 🍺. Increased albuminuria but a reduction in the renal composite and slower eGFR decline compared with ACEi/ARB. Oh and also significantly reduces HF events

Interesting study in ambulatory HF patients with volume overload. Cross-over design where each patient received lasix, lasix/metolazone, lasix/diamox with assessment of 6-hr sodium excretion. Lasix/metolazone wins with no benefit to diamox compared to lasix alone.

Yesterday we saw long-term results of EMPA-KIDNEY and a big takeaway was attenuation of benefit after discontinuation, i.e stay on your flozins. Reminding ppl of this study by @LParkerGregg1 showing ⬆️rates of HHF and CV events after stopping GLP1a and/or florins #KidneyWk
