Attracting new nurses is important, but to keep them in community and hospice settings, pay parity with hospitals is also needed. Retention meaning treating nurses well and infusing $$$ into the system that is suffering.

Our mental health system needs significantly better support. Under funding, failure to provide wrap-around supports & months on waitlists for services. Pointless killings are tragic & happen regardless of tough on crime laws. Crime levels decrease when root causes are dealt with.
