Controversial, but I would support retiring the Lady Byng after 24-25 (its 100 year anniversary) and replacing it with a Gaudreau Award, voted by the NHLPA. The Byng is not valued by players and it's a joke that it's voted by the media just looking at who doesn't take penalties.
I don’t love the Lady Byng Award, but it’s the only individual trophy Johnny Gaudreau has won in the NHL. Back in 2017. Maybe it’s the emotion of it all, but I’d like to see this trophy named after him.
