this episode was pretty crypto-adjacent, but goddamn it was interesting. @RyanSAdams stewarded the conversation like a champ - pro-level stuff - and @profplum99 knows his shit.

Michael Green ( @profplum99 ) challenges the myth of passive investing:. "There is no such thing as a passive investor" because flows in and out never stop. As he notes, by Bill Sharpe’s own definitions they’re not passive at all.

Interesting to see Ethereum's daily transactions hitting new all-time highs. Despite this, L1 gas fees remain very low. Ethereum is scaling.

RT @HodlMagoo: I don’t know what is more concerning the 1 sat/vB fees or the fact 8 blocks in a row were mined by a KYC captured US miner.….

11/.Ah yes, ending w/ the oldest FUD in the book… c'mon guys. it’s 2025, nobody’s buying that crap anymore. “Ethereum has an UNLIMITED supply” is maxi copium. •Bitcoin’s 21M cap is an untested experiment: it trades long-term security for the optics of scarcity. As subsidies.

10/ .Calling ETH a ‘cautionary tale’ while ignoring July’s record ETF inflows is just dishonest. If Bitcoin-only maxis need to lie about data, maybe the ‘smart money’ isn’t where they think it is.

The market has chosen. Institutional money floods Bitcoin ETFs. Ethereum ETFs see outflows. Smart money buys simplicity. Retail buys complexity. In 10 years, one network still runs. The other is a cautionary tale. And the worst part?

9/ .This “every innovation = new trust” line is rhetorical sleight of hand. • Bitcoin has trust assumptions too - just fewer features to expose them. • Ethereum scopes trust without breaking crypto guarantees. • The question isn’t trust vs. no trust, it’s where trust lives.

8/ .Ok, now we’re just going with bald-face lies, huh?. Bitcoin “zero failures”?.•2010: 184B BTC overflow bug → rollback.•2012: BerkeleyDB lock bug → accidental hard fork.•2013: LevelDB bug → major chain split, miners forced downgrade.•2015: BIP66 → 6-block fork.•2018:.

Ok, now it’s clear they’re just assuming their readers are stupid…. The argument they’re making is actually proof of Ethereum’s resilience and decentralization. Despite literal nation-state sanctions on a smart contract, transactions still go through—faster than a Bitcoin tx.

6/ .No, Restaking does not mean: “one AVS fails → ETH meltdown”. •First, perspective: pnly ~6% of validators are restaking today. •Risks are opt-in & modular - a failure in one AVS doesn’t cascade across all or touch Ethereum consensus. •At worst, restakers lose stake; ETH.

5/.Ok, this either exposes how little the author knows or how far they’ll go to mislead… which is it?. The framing oversimplifies PoS and overstates risk:. Finality ≠ network halt.– 33% can stall finality, not block production. The chain keeps moving, inactivity leak forces.

4/ .Yes, 90%+ of Ethereum blocks go through MEV-Boost. No, that doesn’t mean “chain surveillance.” Builders compete, relays can be swapped, and enshrined PBS + encrypted mempools are being actively researched. The whole point of Ethereum is to surface problems like MEV and fix.

3/.Bitcoin = no trust, just math’ is a myth. BTC Core has hardcoded checkpoints. Fresh nodes trust bootnodes + GitHub code. 2013: Community rejected the longer chain during a fork bug. A huge reorg today? Same outcome - humans override math. Both BTC & ETH rely on.

2/.Saying ETH’s market cap can’t secure $1T in stablecoins because “the math doesn’t work” isn’t an argument - it’s hand-waving past how PoS security actually works. If you claim it doesn’t work, the onus is on you to explain why.

Ethereum has a problem nobody wants to discuss. $500B market cap securing $1T in stablecoins breaks basic proof of stake economics. The math doesn't work. Circle and Tether might need to become the largest eth holders just to keep the chain functional. JPMorgan sees $500B.

One of the most brain-dead argument strings I’ve seen here - a parade of tired Bitcoiner FUD. I wasn’t going to waste energy debunking it, but after the author kept repeating “do you have a legitimate defense for ETH?” I felt compelled to respond. 🧵👇.

Ethereum is fundamentally a dead horse. Proof of Stake created the ultimate rent-seeking system. Stake once, collect forever. Wall Street on chain. Here is why you should convert all eth to BTC🧵
