I see Encrypted ClientHello (ECH) is trending with confusion. Here's some facts: ECH and VPNs are apples and bananas. Not even close. Do not use a (public) VPN to replace ECH. ECH tends to incentivize centralization. The more sites are behind a single ECH config, or public

I'm glad I migrated to @caddyserver a while ago. The setup is so complex now but the Caddyfile is still really simple to understand. I wouldn't be able to reason any of that with HAProxy.

Cool! π
I'm really enjoying working with Lua inside @caddyserver . I have a fully working router, which uses julienschmidt/httprouter under the hood.

PR #1: https://t.co/gaFVP7ToOm PR #2: https://t.co/FUbff6HyWX
@th4019 was in my CS program in college. He gave Caddy the ability to serve PHP apps by integrating a rudimentary FastCGI server package. Some of that code still lives on to this day!

Do you know who this is? This is @th4019, the first contributor to @caddyserver. He submitted PRs #1 and #2 over 10 years ago, and I happened to recognize him at the Utah Go User Group meetup TONIGHT! Great to see you, Thomas!

@PrateekJainDev Havenβt used Traefik, but nothing comes close to @caddyserver when it comes to deploying things on the go β pun intended. Shoutout to Matt @mholt6 and @_francislavoie for always supporting the community!

@primcloud @caddyserver Caddy isn't just a web server anymore. It now coordinates deployments and builds not just requests.

Just a small feat, but @primcloud is now running in the new us-east region, fronted by my fork of @caddyserver ingress, powering all actions in the cluster.

Thanks! Ferron is cool too.
Even though we're competing with Caddy, Caddy implemented several briliant ideas for web servers, like HTTPS enabled by default and automatic TLS (via Let's Encrypt), both of which make HTTPS setup easier with it. Caddy also has simple configuration, simpler than let's say NGINX.

It was a pleasure to talk at the #ApiPlatormCon 2025 about extending @caddyserver using @wasm_io #WASI. You can view my talk here: https://t.co/55x0EszMO1. Thank you @coopTilleuls for this awesome event.

@LiamHammett The moment I saw that FrankenPHP is based on @caddyserver , I knew it would be great. I haven't used it in production yet to be honest but really really want to.

Hot take: Every new PHP app should be built on FrankenPHP. It's just better.
