Can we start teaching Nigerian kids distance properly? 🤔. Anytime someone in the UK says “it’s 5km from here,” my brain just goes blank. In Nigeria, we measure distance by “just there,” “near near,” or “small trek” — and none of them have any fixed length. 😅. Maybe this is why.

University of Calabar Dentistry Department license has been withdrawn. Over 300 students have been asked to leave after spending 7 years in school. They are being advised to learn trade or do other things. The quota was 40 annually but the current VC admitted up to 900

On the 30th of May 2016, at about past 2 p.m., three young to middle-aged men dragged themselves into a hospital in Anambra where I worked at the time. They each had varying degrees of gunshot wounds. We rushed out to them, helped them into our emergency unit, and went to work.

Sorry to say this, but not sorry. If Jamiu Owoduni were to be an Igbo guy, some Yoruba Ronus would have started a fight to say that the target was against their brother, the JAMB chairman. Now imagine that this affected 4000 other students. But as usual, nothing will happen.
I have an update regarding Basola Jamiu Owodunni, the FUTA civil engineer student whose admission was earlier marked as FAKE from JAMB after graduating with CGPA 4.41 in Civil Engineering. The good news is that it has been resolved. He can now now access his JAMB portal and also.

JAMB has lost it’s credibility. Admissions in Southeast for this year must go on without JAMB. Universities in the region should conduct independent assessment of prospective students.
