On most things, I agree with Sabeer. But on UPI, I disagree. To begin with, this is one of the most efficient payment mechanisms going around. To argue it is being imposed does not stand to scrutiny. Is it subsidised? Yes. Is it ready to take on MasterCard and Visa? Yes.

Word of advice for folks buying high-value electronic items. Opt for payment on delivery. Else you’ll go batshit mad trying to get through customer service.
