Although heartened that DRDs have reduced by 10% from 50 to 45 in Renfrewshire, that’s still 45 too many lives lost - mums, dads, brothers, sisters, sons and daughters. Thoughts are with all families affected. @RenHSCP ADRS will continue to work to reduce that figure to zero.
Message from Cllr Jacqueline Cameron on today’s national figures for drug deaths in 2019 “Today, the Scottish drug death figures for 2019 have been released. Many will be dismayed to see that the figure has gone up nationally and while Renfrewshire’s drug death figures have

As always @karynmccluskey is spot on. Every DRD is a tragedy and if you work in Alcohol & Drug Recovery Services and don’t ask yourself ‘what more could I/we have done’, ‘what if’ you are in the wrong job.
This was for the families, all the families left behind. When the figures come out tomorrow, multiply it by 10, or 20 to get the impact on family members....thinking 'what if....' it's a tsunami of pain.

Partners across Renfrewshire moving forward together, working in collaboration to ensure people with a drug and/or alcohol issue and those affected get the right support at the right time. Building on our @RenHSCP ADP whole system review of Drug & Alcohol Services.

Who doesn’t like a wee afternoon snooze. Was busy on a MS Teams call and got rudely interrupted by my co-worker Bunty’s snoring! 🤣It certainly is a dogs life 🐶

Many of the people who use @RenHSCP services benefitted from this in the 1st phase. Such an important step in tackling digital exclusion, more important than ever. A whole range of support and activities available online to help everyone get through these times.
Through the @ScotGov @digiscot #ConnectingScotland programme, we will be reaching even more eligible families with an iPad or Chromebook and mobile data. We’ll also provide training and support to use the internet confidently and safely. ➡️ https://t.co/P97tQyPoVJ

Excellent video Paul. @RenHSCP Mental Health, particularly Psychology & our Alcohol & Drug Recovery Services have embraced Near Me as part of our response to the pandemic. We will absolutely continue after. Very +ve feedback from patients and service users as well as staff
I’ve had many good experiences using Near Me video-consultations. Really helpful option for General Practice.

V timely as we move forward into the next stage of COVID-19. Thanks @francesburns for recommending. 6 months vital experience under our belts and we know the terrain so should be more effective. What’s your mental shore time going to be?
Hello lovely folks! Most of us are now deep in lockdown 2.0. Since writing about the six-month wall, many people asked me about how to take a “mental shore leave”. Here’s my plan, which might help you think creatively about yours. Good luck! 😊🙏🏽❤️ THREAD

And if this pandemic has shown us anything, it’s how vital good social care is. Supporting our most vulnerable
