When you see people call themselves revolutionary always talking about destroying, destroying, destroying but never talking about building or creating, they’re not revolutionary. They do not understand the first thing about revolution. It’s creating. —Kwame Ture

Shelley Duvall in THREE WOMEN completely changed the way I thought about a character in a story I was working on. Her performance was that good. A legendary actor.

Please no reboots or remakes. Just my opinion. We need new shit. Movies and shows take years out of your life to make- why do that to yourself for something thats already been done? That being said- there have been a few great remakes. Martin Scorsese's Cape Fear being one.

The secret secret to making good art is: if you’re not genuinely, hopelessly, literally In Love with the art you’re making, it’s not going to be very good.

I need some support from you! Donating to this project is the first and crucial step in developing a film like no other - it's about the phenomenon that is the international deaf community. Please spread the word! Thank you and love you. https://t.co/rLgV4wjnA3

I think it should be a requirement that before you direct a movie you have to take out the trash and make coffee.

Floored me when I first saw it too. When I lost my dad a few months later, this film came to mind.
AFTER YANG. I avoided it for so long to protect my soul. It released on the day of my dad’s passing. I knew I’d never be truly ready to watch it. Here we are at the end of the year. On a day I spent reflecting on of my loss, and this serendipitously saw right through me.

My top two of the year 🙌
Nope and EEAAO were two films that have undoubtedly etched themselves into film history books. While both of these films aren’t the buzziest shoe-ins for this awards season, I think they will win the greatest prize which is the favor of time. These films made an impact.
