OK so iOS 15.7.2 RC is indeed signed for iPhone 8/8+ too and you can downgrade/restore. Also, Palera1n Jailbreak works just fine with iOS 15.7.2 RC. At the command you have to type 15.7.1 or you will get an error. I was also able to update the pending packages.

As a test, I Successfully downgraded iPhone 6 to iOS 10.3.3 with SEMOPHORIN downgrade tool. The process is lengthy but thanks to the developer(s) it is easy to follow and perform.

Nekojb Rootful worked fine on iPhone 7, 15.8.2. Actually one MUST use trollstore to install nekoJB rootful or it hangs at fakefs creation, and if neko loader doesn't appear you have to install it manually from pinned msgs from the official discord. Thanks

tested iOS 15.8 iPhone 7(9,3 model) worked after 3 or 4 tries. Although it did not work on SE on 15.8 and 15.7.1. Maybe offsets issues? Tip: Wait at the nekoJB app for one minute before hitting jailbreak and wait 4/5 minutes after a reboot/panic before Jailbreaking again.

It seems you can safely downgrade from iOS 16.7.6 to iOS 16.6/16.6.1 without encountering any issues. I utilized the cryptex1/SEP/BB from 16.7.6 on my iPhone 8 Plus, and it worked perfectly.

In the latest build of Futurerestore the issue of "Unable to get firmware keys" seems to be fixed. If you are seeing this error, update the futurerestore binary via the lastest nightly:
