Itβs always such a treat to find a bumblebee nest! π. Thereβs lots of tussocky grass to choose from at @cumbriawildlifeβs Gosling Sike garden, but a Common Carder queen has decided to make her home in a raised bed (full of herbs! πͺ΄)

Found a snazzy looking nomad bee yesterday at a local NNR, which turns out to be the rare Nomada roberjeotiana!. Iβve not seen its host, Tormentil Mining Bee, there before, so I walked back to a good Tormentil patch & there it was! . Finglandrigg Wood, @NECumbria #SolitaryBeeWeek
