This is an important point. The big platforms are now available through many (most?) banks servicing HNW.
I wouldn’t take every large fund closing as a signal of traditional LP (E&F, sovereign, FO, FoF, etc.) demand. Retail dollars are here and they’re here in a very big way. Some of the platforms have also been in the market for awhile.

There's a dangerous trend where founders measure themselves first & foremost by how much capital they raise / valuation. Fundamentals be damned, just "more than the other 'guy'." The point of a business is to produce ROIC. How much you raise is the denominator. Don't forget it.
