A 1940s look at Fort Davis, in the Davis Mountains. The fort had fallen into disrepair at this point and was slowly dissolving into oblivion. Fortunately for folks like me, a restoration project was begun in 1961. In June, 1966, Lady Bird Johnson re-dedicated the fort. It's a
