Lots of talk in Ireland about reaching targets on forestry. Why do we exclude from the figures our hedgerows which take up 6.4% of our land. The most sustainable and rich in biodiversity. Yet government don’t it count when it comes to reaching our targets. Why not?

Disappointing start to the week with a cow hurt and down, premature twins dead , cow injured. A couple of days that every farmer gets. But a good finish to the week with lots of new life on the farm . I think the hard days are going to feel a lot harder in lockdown

Start by showing some leadership and tackle your own departments complete and utter failure to tackle the forestry license fiasco. Talking down to and lecturing us is playing to a gallery far away from Ballinakill mart or any other mart. We know more than anyone what’s at stake.
