Many will look at the numbers and dismiss Liam Öhgren off as an upside prospect. But don’t write off that shot. He matched Jonathan Lekkerimäki’s 19 goals last season, and while his potential projects more as a middle-six winger, there’s still real untapped potential there.

At the end of the day, everyone knew Hughes had one foot out the door. It impacted the way he engaged with the city and team, and in my opinion, it was simply unbecoming of a captain. It's a good thing to move on even though you wish you didn't have to

It's obviously a colossal disappointment and failure that Hughes had to be traded. But at the same time, if you want to re-establish a winning culture, it will be good to move forward with guys that truly want to be Canucks. Go all-in on the city & team or leave
