Texas & Southern friends, what’s the deal with June bugs? March 1st arrives, they show-up with a hearty “hello!” They are like teenagers driving the first time, bashing into everything & generally “out-of-control.” The next morning the bodies are piled like a Medieval battle.

I’m I the only one that thinks we took a wrong turn when we started catering to the “lowest common denominator” in everything? “We can’t do/permit BLANK because some idiot will hurt themselves.” Good! Warning labels allow too many people to avoid consequences.

Something that is absolutely normal in Texas that we love, that is almost unheard of back in Vancouver, greeting people with ‘Sir’ and ‘M’am’. It is an underlying sign of polite respect for everyone that is truly cool to hear.
