Trying to document my reading a bit more this year. My first book of 2026 has been a lot of fun.

Maybe this is the meta-angle they're taking: the sequel that seemingly can't co-exist with previous entries. Maybe they should have called it SCREAM H30.

I don't know, SCREAM 7 causing timeline/continuity issues sounds like literally every other long-running slasher franchise.

Nobody gave Spielberg permission to become Spielberg. Nobody gave Coogler permission to become Coogler. Stop waiting for the industry to validate you. Make your film. Show it to the world. Let the work speak. That's how legends are built.

This is creepy as hell, because Italian sex comedies, particularly in the 70s used child actors for sex scenes, including Eva Ionesco, who was only 11 years old at the time. The more I hear from this guy, the more it makes sense that he follows IDF accounts

The Tabernacle in Atlanta or The Orange Peel in Asheville. Township Auditorium in Columbia is pretty great too.

This English Lit major kinda loves it when sometimes shit movie adaptions get people talking about Mary Shelley or the Brontes again, even if they are misinterpreting the works or trying to modernize books that are 200ish years old.

Anglo-Saxon literature is full of dudes waxing nostalgic about bygone eras, it's one of the things that actually makes BEOWULF pretty relatable

No? Cultures have romanticized a past they didn't experience (or one that even didn't exist) for centuries.

Nostalgia used to be primarily for things people experienced when younger and now miss and romanticize. But more and more nowadays it’s second-hand nostalgia where people are nostalgic for things they are largely aware of just through older people’s nostalgia.

I can remember a time when this would have included the entire series for just about the same price (on standard Blu-ray but still)
