A hidden temporal structure governing REM sleep in both mice and humans: the infraslow rhythm. Today Lezio Bueno in our lab published that phasic and tonic REM sub-types exist on a continuum and fluctuate a minute-timescale (infraslow) frequencies.

I just found this and it's great! I'm stumbling into behavioral big data myself. Just want to say I'm really excited to learn more @neuroecology Is there a good place for me to get an intuition of how GLM and HMM work together? HMM makes sense to me - but the GLM interaction?.
