Hey Shopify theme devs…has anyone figured out a good way to check if a product is part of a combined listing with liquid? I want to handle the product card differently in these cases. @benjaminsehl.

Kunal’s was one of the best talks at Techtonic. 👏.
2 weeks back I gave a talk at @heymantle's Techtonic event on optimizing Shopify Ads. But you can't cover everything about ads in a 30 min talk, so I soft launched a guide for Shopify ads to the audience there. On Monday, I'm launching it publicly. For free.

Thank you @tsiger. I would say the same about you! I appreciate the interview opportunity, and always value your thoughtful insights about theme marketplaces.
@brendamarienyc is one of the many people I truly appreciate in the Shopify ecosystem. She's also "Class of 2022" when it comes to Shopify themes having submitted her beautiful theme Whisk that year. Here's an interesting discussion with Brenda.

Hear, hear! ❤️.
In my opinion there are not enough women devs, but I'm lucky to join @marianne_ciara and @brendamarienyc as the 3 women founding members of the SDA. And so happy to have met them in person at Editions 🤗

This is one of those seemingly small updates that make things so much easier and better. 👏.
Horizon makes web performance more of a platform concern than a theme concern. We added support for {% stylesheet %} and {% javascript %} tags in snippets, blocks, and sections for Horizon. This might seem like a minor change in how you structure your code at first glance, and.

💯 I’m trying to find a good way to update Whisk to take advantage of theme blocks, etc. so it can remain competitive, but there’s nothing in place to help us manage a major upgrade or to communicate to merchants what it will require from them. Help @bennydotevents @benjaminsehl!.
Summer announcements were incredible. Horizon is a great theme, and it’s gonna hurt our business, that’s for sure. However, one thing that bother me is the approach taken by Shopify. They completely escaped the whole complexity of backward compatibility by releasing a new theme,.

This is terrifying. The license detection that rolled out recently is nice, but it is easy to circumvent. Could we ever just get a license # that merchants could enter into the admin somewhere, like most software has? It would make store transfers SO much easier as well.
We’re having an interesting case. We’ve been fighting for over a year with a Brazilian company, that resold thousands (yes) copies of our themes, without of course paying licenses. This company has been lying to their customers saying that the themes are licensed (they’re not).
