Latour’s Actor-Network Theory underscores the agency of human and non-human actors that shape our environmental reality. Recent #SCOTUS decisions, viewed through ANT, reveal how power is constantly negotiated and redistributed.

It’s astounding it took so long for the math and science community to stumble upon fractals as an alternative to the idealized geometric purity of Euclid and Plato.

Hey @sashacakes and @sophiecdyer (and @rctngle), thanks for the inspiration to write my most recent piece. @scrivenix exposed me your paper over @inquiline@union.place on #Mastodon. Wish you were there! https://t.co/2v7T0MY2xq

This #PrideMonth, it is important to recognize non-binary and gender nonconforming people have been here from the beginning of the U.S. Here is a thread on one of the most influential such persons in early America. An abolitionist minister known as The Public Universal Friend. 1/

I recently wrote a piece touching on physical versus virtual geography that echoes similar themes @JN_Seattle was writing on back in 1998. 👍🏼 https://t.co/ztXOmODVQo

The Ever-Unfolding Significance of Spatial Relationships and Human Dynamics
@bradweed This summer I'm going to read your thinking. From skimming, I think you will probably find my late 20th century essay "Telecommunications' Big Idea" at https://t.co/lA2ylicvV7 to be pertinent to the development of your thinking as expressed in this graphic of yours:

“Ultimately, there is no single blueprint for decolonizing climate, as decolonizing is a process and not an event; it is ongoing unlearning to relearn. It is the many acts, small and large, acting in constellations and collectivities over time and place, that bear results.”

Inspiring work from @edthink on a plea for advancing complexity and non-Euclidian geography and @NikLomax on democratizing data with synthetic population estimation for micro spatial simulation.👏 #AAG2023 #behavioralgeography #cityscience

What is it about place that makes people want to defend it or upend it like a battlefield? Why not append it or amend it like a constitution? Or tend it and mend it like a garden? #urban

TNS has so much potential, but the legacy of federated schools, which each school still clings to, continues to be at odds with where school leadership is steering and acting. Please work to bridge the chasm, which starts with humility and physical listening tours. 🙏

Above all please stop saying this could have been avoided had the union or PTF just done better from the start. Even if you’re right, it’s a bad look. The school relies on PTF, the union is the majority of YOUR school. Pointing the finger goes nowhere but back to YOU.
