Some progress! Congrats to the pro bono lawyers @PublicCounsel & @InnerCityLaw #mungertolles & @tribelaw who filed, and WON, the lawsuits that forced @DeptVetAffairs to build these homes. #vets need more units & real amenities (coffee shop, barber shop, arts venues) to = “home”.
#Veterans have officially started moving into 707 and 717 Bonsall, the newest residences on the #WestLAVA campus! These two buildings offer 110 apartments, bringing the total on campus to 681, with many more to come. Welcome home Veteran residents! Check out pics of the property!

I once asked Mom what had led her to start “Camp Shriver” for special athletes (a predecessor of @SpecialOlympics). “Rage” she said. An unforgettable word! Mom’s work vindicates her sister’s life & has “made gentle” the lives of many families & their special children! Hooray!
