I think it’s awesome that KG is a former player that *gets* this era of basketball, probably because he himself was almost punished for being too different, too skilled, too guard-like for his time.

Excuse me sir? Yeah, uh, Tony Parker is maybe the greatest short-guard finisher in league history. Go about your day.

I’ve made hundreds of tweets on my old account about how that was the dumbest form of mismanagement I’ve maybe ever seen. Bron/AD/Gasol (347 MP): +11.95 net. Bron/AD/Drummond (74 MP): +1.83 net. From every perspective, AD/Gasol was the move man.

Reggie Miller’s 3-year postseason stretch from 1993-95 marks an impressive outing, even if strictly from a production standpoint:. ▫️30.57 points per 75 possessions on efficiency +10.42% adjusting for opponent quality (2nd highest per my sampling). A historically potent scorer.

i do think tatum is super over scrutinized to some degree. like he’s undoubtedly one of the best itw, and has been for quite a few seasons in a row now. probably the most well-rounded player since true prime years bron.

1st round predictions:. EAST.BOS > [insert] in 4-5.CLE > [insert] in 4-5.IND > MIL in 7.DET > NYK in 7. WEST.OKC > [insert] in 4-5.HOU [TBD].LAC > DEN in 6-7.MIN > LAL in 7. I do *not* feel confident in like 2-3 of these outcomes mans These playoffs are going to be so fun.

It’s so funny how end-result based a lot of basketball discussions are. 1st round of the 2023 playoffs, “You could never win a ring with Jokic at center cuz he’s ass at the rim on D!” and then wham, they win, and he’s all of a sudden he’s a unanimous top 15 peak of all-time.

I feel like this has been said before but at times, aside from someone like LeBron maybe, Hakeem is legitimately the closest thing the a created player, the perfect basketball specimen on a macro scale ever honestly.

Funniest thing about all of this Jokić nonsense is advanced statistics are meant to be indicators to things seen on the court, purely for guidance, not the entire crux of a point/argument/etc. Somewhere along the lines his fanbase just threw logic and reality out of the window.

I do think people undervalue how much alleviating a defensive load can help a star or stars just function better during the duration of games, and subsequently a full season.

And the absolutely stupid people saying that Luka is the greatest player to have ever been traded must’ve forgotten that Kareem, Shaq, and KG were all traded at one point or another.
