As a bonus, you get a visual, which is immensely useful for (internal) communication of the thing you've been working on. (This comic is my own version of the original "I'm glad we all agree" by Jeff Patton)

By creating a visual representation, you can talk about it more easily. And then come to a common understanding. This understanding or solution might look quite different than any of you had in your mind initially.

This is why visual facilitation is such a valuable method. So often, people 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒌 they have a common understanding, they 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒌 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒚 𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒂𝒈𝒓𝒆𝒆. When you're putting your assumptions on a whiteboard you realize that you're not on the same page yet.
