Digging through my Smiling Friends archives, I found an unused "theme song" for the Mr. Frog show that I "made". There was a big struggle to find something original/from a library that worked for the ep. Enjoy listening to this if you can (haha hello)

While working on the pilot, I found a floppy old celery bunch that was bound for the garbage in the bottom of my fridge.
It ended up being immortalised as all of the creaking and snapping sounds Desmond's mum makes in the show.

I recall doing sound design for the Janitor. It was the sound of him spraying that bottle. God only knows what chemical mixture was in that thing
the earliest line up of “all” the characters naked to see if their colors complimented each other. the blue janitor dude actually made it all the way into one shot in the pilot before getting completely erased from history and sent to hell for his war crimes

I was asked to make a "Big Evil Villain" theme for whenever the Frowning Friends appeared onscreen with one requirement - I could only use a kazoo. This was purged forever during the final audio mix, but the theme made it into the climax of Grim's speech.

the first one is the best as it feels closest to the book's tone. The dwarves should have only been sub-characters to keep the focus on Bilbo, and they shouldn't have tried to out-epic the scale of the LOTR films with the battles etc.
The dwarf song by the fireplace is great tho

should note what mic you use (plus how you use it) and how controlled the reflections are in your recording room will impact how things sound when you crank the compression.
another protip is to use harmonic exciters to fatten things up than using EQ
