Who do you think will gain more subscribers tonight between people adding some service to get ESPN to watch Cowboys vs. Cardinals on MNF or people adding B1G+ to watch Ohio State vs. IU Indianapolis in men's basketball? Probably going to be very close.

It is reported that OSU and UM have a written guarantee of no night games last 3 weeks of the season. NBC gets a win here, likely because OSU fans have been very vocal about preference for night games, and also December CFP game vs. UT was well received despite being 10 degrees.

2- This is the first carriage dispute where creator funds have wooed random creators to chime in on the issue. FB pages, Threads/X/TikTok influencers etc, who are not regular sports media commentators are chasing engagement and $. Most of the takes/content are pretty meh.

I paid the random for the ESPN app and I don't see a world where I would ever just unplug YouTubeTV in favor of cobbling together streaming services, including ESPN. Inferior experience for sure. I know they've invested a lot into it and are tuning it, but just not as slick

Two takes on the ongoing YouTubeTV vs. Disney/ESPN spat. 1- YouTubeTV's best in class UX/UI is being rewarded. Lot of people paid the ransom for Fubo, DTV, or ESPN app and many are being vocal that the interface is not as good (likely will stay with YouTubeTV).

I generally agree with this (has proven to be right more times than not) but a new wrinkle… If approved, NFL will soon own a stake of ESPN. Does NFL knowing dispute is helping adoption of ESPN ott and also adding now Disney owned Fubo customers, change NFL’s lobbying efforts

Ryan Day rolling with the first string offensive line under two minutes up 24, and two offensive lineman leave the game hobbling off. My man, why tempt fate and open yourself for this? There is literally nothing to gain.

I have nothing but the greatest respect for Bob but beg to differ. Serious sports journalism takes time, money and often a team of people. Today Real Sports, 60 Sports, OTL are history. SI a shell of itself. Only The Athletic has the tools. I’d say it’s a pretty sad state.

These FB shitposting pages can be hilarious sometimes….. That is until you see: - the comments are people believing this is real - the page admin is posting from Vietnam - the Page is getting creator funds for constantly posting this type of content What an ass platform

We went out to the Short North and I asked for a table at the lady looked at me and said it was a 30 minute wait. I think she then realized I was in a costume and sat us at a great table without any wait.

I honestly thought majority of people blamed their cable company. For ESPN/disney to be -46 here (yes I know, it’s unscientific) is REALLY surprising to me. People siding over a company that they pay money to over a content company. Never thought I’d see it.

When there is a carriage dispute that causes you to either miss or spend additional time or money to watch sporting events, who do you typically assign more blame to for the inconvenience?

This one brat just said “how many do I get?”, and I said “one” (look, these are full size) And she replied with “some houses are doing five”. You’re god damn right I’m the candy police.
