Your reply made me realize why my parents do the same-I never thought of it as food insecurity, but they grew up with nothing and a meal was never guaranteed. I’m realizing now they just never wanted my siblings and I to be hungry in the same way they had experienced 😭

🐕 They are true warriors! Luka’s was due to being cut on his forehead and it became infected by the time he was found. His fur doesn’t grow back anymore and he has some problems with the exposed skin being sensitive. It gets scratches and scabs easily but besides that it doesn’t

It could only be described as magical when the plane was approaching Krabi.

4 days ago there was a stray cat at my door staring through the glass.
She’s now employed me as her part-time assistant, providing her 2 meals a day and on-demand attention while she looks for more permanent staff.

No malls, no 7-Elevens, no hotels, not even electricity during the day, but Koh Surin is one of my fav place to go camping in Thailand.
The National Park prepares tent, sleeping bags, and all the meals. Most importantly they have ice-cream available 😆 10/10

Nobody heard any more updates about my foster Truffle the little devil dog because I failed miserably. My family decided to send him to canine pup academy, he graduated today with his purple turtle, and tomorrow he’ll begin his journey to Krabi to live with us…forever.

I’m happy to report that taking a car from Krabi to Koh Lanta is super easy.
1 hr drive to ‘Ferry Ticket Office Lanta’ frm Krabi airport (Google maps search), buy a ticket from the comfort of car & then drive onto boat.
Took about 15 mins to reach the island ⛴🙂
