I am saddened by my friend Jing Lee’s decision to leave the Liberal Party. However, I have nothing but respect for Jing’s work ethic & dedication over many years, especially her commitment to South Australia’s multicultural communities. Thank you Jing & Eddie for your service.

A valuable reminder of the beginnings of Quad cooperation, commenced under Howard Govt, revived under Turnbull Govt & elevated to leader level dialogue under Morrison Govt. An important vehicle for Indo-Pacific democracies to work together in our region. https://t.co/To3kvm8Ncr

Jimmy Carter faced electoral defeat with dignity, building a strong legacy throughout the years that made him the longest living US President. President Carter’s work was always based on his principles, values & the tireless example he & former First Lady Rosalynn demonstrated.

Vale Jimmy Carter, a US President, a Nobel Peace Prize recipient, and a man recognised for his humility & humanity throughout his 100 years. President Carter served in tumultuous times, but among his achievements were the Camp David Accords securing peace between Israel & Egypt.

Heartbreaking news from Vanuatu, where a powerful earthquake has caused severe damage and sadly, reports indicate loss of life. My thoughts are with those affected and am closely monitoring the situation with our Pacific neighbours in their time of need. 1/2

All Australians will be holding our dear friends in Vanuatu close to our hearts following today’s earthquake & amidst the tsunami threat. With reports of death, injury & destruction, there is strong bipartisan backing for all support of Vanuatu now & with their rebuild. 🇦🇺🤝🇻🇺

.@JohnGardnerMP was one of the most successful reformers of the Marshall Government, smoothly shifting year 7’s into secondary school & efficiently overseeing huge capital upgrades, while ensuring that SA school kids were among the least impacted by Covid.

Congratulations Fletch, on your decision & your service. I couldn’t have asked for a more thoughtful, considered & principled person to serve with in cabinet & shadow cabinet. Your achievements provide much to be proud of, along with your always respectful & professional conduct.
Today I announce that I will not run for re-election at the next federal election. I am confident the Liberal Party will hold Bradfield; our new candidate once chosen will have my full support. We have a real prospect to win government. My statement: https://t.co/GAPC4B78Mg

Don Farrell just told @AuSenate the Albanese Government would consider creating more senators & MPs after the next election. Rather than hiding their plans, Labor should be upfront with Australians before they vote about whether Labor will increase the size of the parliament.

Few get to control the timing of their departure themselves & to go out when people would like them to go on. Congrats David for leaving on your own terms. May the next stages of life bring you great happiness. Just don’t turn your tough interviews tactics onto family & friends!

David has become one of the most informed broadcasters in our state, providing a depth to state political coverage that few others come close to. He’s pursued issues, not just personalities, & generally shown a balance by holding all his political guests to account.

Congrats to ABC South Australia’s David Bevan on a brilliant & impactful media career. I first met the young state political reporter as an even younger staffer nearly 30 years ago. Since then I’ve been on the receiving end of many a tough question from David. Tough but fair.
