Discussed, with Cheng Lei on @SkyNewsAust, the issues Riverina people are telling me are the top priorities, including the Labor Government’s neglect of regional infrastructure & the disastrous effect funding cuts to the NDIS will have on our most vulnerable regional Australians.

The Rotary Club of Batlow held its annual changeover dinner on Friday night with Sam Hughes succeeding Linda Rudd as president. It was a pleasure to attend the event. The Batlow club is small in size but big in heart & has been serving the community since its foundation in 1970.

Wagga Wagga Christian College students always contribute top quality entities to my annual Riverina ANZAC writing competition – this year is no different. Year 10 student Abigail Touzel, 15, wrote a piece which was deserving of a highly commended book prize. Congratulations!

Kooringal Butchery’s John Daniher, who has worked at the store for nearly 40 years, retired yesterday. He has been a great advocate for the meat industry with the Kooringal Mall butchery and will be missed by the regular customers. Best of luck for a well deserved retirement, JD!

The @AFLSydney community is mourning the loss of Inner West Magpies’ much-loved and highly respected assistant coach Rick Scicluna, aged 61. Rick was a great role model for young players and was a clubman through and through. Read my tribute here:

Good to attend Opposition Leader Sussan Ley’s National Press Club address. Her speech set out her vision, including the economy, need for cheaper energy, the regions, the domestic violence scourge, the importance of small businesses, and productivity.

A memorial sits in Wagga Wagga’s Victory Memorial Gardens honouring the 43 brave soldiers who never came home from the North Korea battlefield. It is one of many Riverina memorials acknowledging Australian soldiers’ efforts during the Korean War, which started 75 years ago today.

The US has hit sites in Iran where stockpiling was taking place with the intent of making nuclear weapons. The Coalition supports the US action. Here are my remarks to Jaynie Seal on @SkyNewsAust today.

2/2. Students have worked on this musical for six months – which intertwines the plots of several Brothers Grimm fairytales, including Cinderella, Jack and the Beanstalk, Little Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel and several others – and are giving superb 2½-hour performances.
