At 61, I’ve been surprised by my recent progress in the basement gym. Body composition is definitely improving and the strength is inching upward.

Imagine if before prescribing meds, doctors said: - Cut sugar, grains and seed oils from your diet - Get 7-10k steps every day - Aim for 7-8 hours of sleep per night - Start lifting weights - Spend more time outside What would public health look like?

Today was shoulders day in my modest basement gym. Started out very slow but my son Tom helped provide some motivation and we ended up with a good workout. This was the final set of overhead dumbbell presses when I was completely cooked.

An intervention that “works” in a randomized controlled study but collapses in the real world doesn’t work. N=1 experiments reveal: • hunger & cravings • energy & mood • recovery & soreness • sleep quality • compliance & friction • mental clarity • training performance •

“How many CABG surgeries have you done in your career, Dr. Ovadia?” “A couple of thousand of them.” “And how many got healthy through the surgery alone?” “Exactly zero.” 🤔‼️ The goal is to help you get healthy, not simply postpone dying. Very big difference.
