I wasn’t always sure I was capable or confident but I had people who believed in me & that changed everything. As a 4th grade teacher, I want my students to feel that same belief. Math is our shared journey — one of courage, growth, & building a brighter future together! 🌱✨

To celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month we welcomed Mrs. Estok to our class. She taught us all about her home country of Cuba & about her experiences as an immigrant. We also learned how to play Cuban Dominoes & even won our first match. The kids really had so much fun! 🇨🇺

Opposites attract! 🧲↔️🧲 First week in 4th grade has been fantastic! Today my scientists participated in a magnetic scavenger hunt to find materials that might be attracted to magnets. Someone said it was like having a magic wand in your hand. 🎩⚡️✨⚡️

My scholars are SO hard at work- on a day with a beautiful full moon- iykyk. I’m proud of their perseverance, problem solving & reasoning. To say they left it all on the table would be accurate! We had graph paper, calculators, counters, markers, erasers- lots of math stuff! 📝😁

My grandson works at Starbucks and every time I go in he puts my name in as 'F. TRUMP' so he can say 'F TRUMP!' when my drink is ready and I walk up and say 'F TRUMP?' and he turns the cup and says 'F TRUMP' and hands it to me. It's the little things.

While most are weary of all the recent rain, MECME’s Take a Hike expedition students appreciated the full & vibrant beauty seen at our campus wetland. We were inspired by the diversity of plants & animals-birds, dragonflies, geese, & one small frog. We can’t wait to go back!
