Beyond excited to finally share this. Bringing light to the streets & people of Brum is all I’ve been thinking of for the past few years ✨. I can’t wait to see spaces come alive with dazzling light installations, interactive art, and so much more.

Last month I visited some of the 25 (!) #Paris2024 fanzones, a few fave things-. 🔹Parc de la Villette housing 15 festival sites hosted by participating countries. 🔹visual identity applied beautifully across all user touch points, city wide. 🔹pop up cycle hubs, manned & FULL😍

Back to work today after a gorgeous time cycling rural Portugal 🚴🏻 . Stunning forest, coastal + countryside routes which took us far off the beaten track. A few very testing days which incl steep climbs + neverending windy straight paths (maybe worse than hills?!) .☀️ 🍷 🇵🇹

Beautiful first night of Light is Coming ✨ the space felt completely transformed by light. I spoke to one person who commented on how lovely it was to see people - and specifically children - dancing and playing in a space usually just used by passing commuters. 📸 @Vemsteroo

One thing which stood out was the route itself - it took tens of thousands of us to areas outside the main centre and activated industrial areas and warehouses. Mapping the unusual waterfront feature - the iconic cranes - gave the programme such a distinct feel.

Last month I had the pleasure of travelling to Gent for #lichtfestival @visitgent ✨ a mammoth 7.2k route around the city - with 30+ artworks. Some truly magical pieces, but the low fi ones were a surprise hit - including old school OHPs lining a street. The nostalgia!
