I’m up early, trying to get some work finished off. I turned around to find this.

Been debugging systemd-udevd and NetworkManager today trying to figure out why NetworkManager is ignoring my rule in /usr/lib/udev/hwdb.d/82-net-auto-link-local.hwdb which tells it to use link-local addressing for the BMC-Host internal network connection. Ugh!

Yay Cooler Master have shipped my PMBus cable, so I’ll soon be about to see what OpenBMC thinks of it.

OMG. Someone recreated the ‘barking dog’ PTU sound that Airbus planes make by running his fingers over a wet shower door. 😂 He was wondering why it’s not present in MSFS 2024 (answer: it’s not audible from the cockpit). https://t.co/1fdLVRIxoT

I’ll never unhear this. That sound the airbus makes when you get on it.

Was thinking this Windows Dev Kit 2023 is useless these days since I have Arm machines that are so much more capable which can run Windows. But then I realized I *don’t* run Windows on them, so this is probably a nice box to keep for the times I do want to run Windows!

Updated the rolling cache in MSFS 2024 to 1TB. This is going to take a while!

Was wondering why Grace uses the low power optimized LPDDR5X instead of DDR5. This explains it: https://t.co/AFDFGE9WiH "The wide memory subsystem in Grace delivers up to 500GB/s of bandwidth in only about 16W, about one-fifth that of conventional DDR5 memory."

Trying to tell Garfield he can’t get to me this way. Fortunately he jumped down instead of trying to continue! 😂

One thing I really like about Discord is how it keeps all the chat history and it's so easy to search.

Unironically yes. Stay alive. Don’t give up. Never stop fighting for who you want to be. It will be unfairly difficult and not everyone will find happiness, let alone survive. But *you* can.

I’m on my way down Big Cottonwood Canyon. It’s 37°F outside, and I have 56% charge. I was surprised to find my R1S pressing the brake pedal to emulate regen since the battery apparently can’t accept enough energy. Anyone know what’s going on?

Not a lot of snow up here at 8,900’. The snow cannons are running with Solitude and Brighton working on creating their own snow.

Wondering if it’s a customer education issue that means we’re still getting motherboards with VGA ports? This isn’t even VGA for just the BMC because this is a consumer board that doesn’t have that. Do people not realize or don’t care how terrible VGA is?

Was watching a video about building a PC ( https://t.co/UxtbNjIvJA) and they held the board up to complain about the lack of USB-C. I had no idea that motherboards are still being made with PS/2 ports. I thought those disappeared about 20 years ago!
