How awesome to see the second of our St John People Awards ceremonies happen so fabulously in North Wales. Amazing to honour and recognise our people in such a great way.

Recognising our people’s commitment and contributions really is a passion of mine so I was really proud to see the first of three St John People Awards evenings come together so brilliantly. The next is in North Wales tomorrow! How exciting!

Some clinical time with awesome volunteers at Swansea’s Gerallt Davies Help Point. Great to see everyone, share some learning and be there just in case. There were volunteers last night from Powys, Dyfed and Mid Glamorgan alongside West Glamorgan colleagues. Great to see.

Stunning fireworks in Swansea tonight! Huge shoutout to the amazing @SJACymru team keeping everyone safe and even joining in the fun with a little dancing along the way!

A very busy two days to include SLT and safeguarding meetings, representing St John with Jane to external funding partners and then joining @SJACDyfedCounty at their fireworks display in Carmarthen. A really fulfilling 48 hours.

Great to be part of the last Commissioners forum under @SJACChiefVol Richie’s leadership. I find we often get our best work done when we come together in person. The back drop of rural Wales definitely helps too.

Joined the team @PAVOtweets info fair today. Then on to Rhayader and Caersws. Great to hear over 400 Powys people trained through @SJACymru Save a Life September campaign. Meeting with @mawwfire colleagues before joining Newtown division on the new Event Responder course.

Some of our fabulous St John people are in Swansea today just in case at the Swansea Bay 10K.

Awesome to see the reintroduction of SJA Cymru into Brecon widening our reach in Powys. This means more people will be able to access lifesaving training. We have an awesome team of volunteers at the forefront of this initiative.

As it’s #WorldFirstAidDay we thought we’d share a #SaveALifeSeptember story. Listen to Janice’s cardiac arrest story. Thankfully her husband was first aid trained and saved her life. Ten years later, she’s still volunteering with us as one of our dedicated #PoblStJohnPeople!

Regional management meeting yesterday, catch ups with St John people today and a lovely drop in visit to the Help Point in Swansea this evening. Great to see so many of our people out and about. Also great to congratulate new appointees of Divisional management roles in person.

A busy period of time in St John for me at the moment with lots of meetings, plans for regional awards, catch up with colleagues and clinical time at events.

As we continue to deliver our 2025-2030 strategy @SJACymru we are now advertising 2 key ways to be involved. Our #StJohnPeople app team are looking for App Champions & we are now taking expressions of interest if you want to be our next Chief Commissioner Why not get involved.?

So proud of our team of St John people providing care and support to the people of Powys led by this awesome bunch of paramedics and nurses for the week. Their skill and leadership has been invaluable and it’s been so great to be a part of it.
