I'm at this stage again when all of the drafts look bad. Too much material, too little structure, feels like I need to rewrite everything from scratch again because got no real progress since June 🙄.

Phew, first raw draft of my new book is ready!. Now, editing, editing, illustrations, editing, editing, and editing. See you in a million years! 😁. Btw, if you'd like to help me review the content (and also be in the “short list of first readers”), feel free to DM me 👋.

A-a-and I’m almost done with examples for my new book!. I only need to tidy them up now and then I can start writing the manuscript 👀.

The third good thing is that “GPTs” finally separate contexts automatically. I don’t need to copy-paste a huge preamble of system prompts to switch between D&D-related use cases and, let’s say, Swedish practicing ones anymore. It just happens in the particular GPT’s settings.

Another thing that it's really good at is giving me lists of “D&D speech” words to describe stuff. For me, a non-native English speaker, it's a freaking salvation.

These new custom GPTs are actually good. Made myself a “DM's Assistant” and now can generate tons of details for the encounters and lore for the campaign in almost an instant.

Recently started working on a new book: created an outline, started writing first drafts, scaffolded some files of the sample app's code. And now I'm wondering where to find the time for all of it 😁. Huuuuuuuge amount of work ahead!.

RT @codeopinion: "Extract an interface" from a class is the same to me as defining behaviors after data models. It's the wrong order.

How does the “follow” button work on Are the posts even being shown to the author's followers?. I have a feeling that it either doesn't work or should be called something different.

Finalising the “Explicit Software Design” series with some conclusions and observations: Publishing every week for 2 months was interesting! Now I'm gonna take a short pause and rest a bit 👀. See you in future posts!.

To address extreme levels of data scraping & system manipulation, we’ve applied the following temporary limits:. - Verified accounts are limited to reading 6000 posts/day.- Unverified accounts to 600 posts/day.- New unverified accounts to 300/day.

Let's continue the “Explicit Software Design” series. Today we will discuss how to make application slices more independent and decoupled using events and when this approach may be justified.

Another post in the “Explicit Software Design” series! 🙃. This time, we'll extend the app with a new feature, discuss how to keep under control the coupling between the features, and discuss the benefits of vertical slices.
