A couple of weeks ago I started writing a game for a toy console, the PicoSystem. It was an excuse to learn some C++, and also to do something I had always wanted: write my own version of the somewhat classic Windows Asteroids clone, Hyperoid 1/n

Destrier: a wave shooter inspired by Asteroids. Enemy ships will hunt you until the end. Play in your browser
I "finished" the game I have been tweaking for a couple of months: Destrier https://t.co/Y1WHoX3hif A wave shooter similar to asteroids, the goal is to eliminate enemy ships, destroying asteroids fixes your hull. It gets difficult after a few waves. https://t.co/BAmwmgZkBl

I "finished" foowrite, my project of a distraction free editor with a Pico W and some screen from @pimoroni It uses a LCD screen instead of my initial plan of using eink. But it is done at last! Or at least, version 0.1.0 is published… https://t.co/5j0F7uhRQl

My constant sending of memes to friends is like a dead man switch. If it suddenly stops, it means one of two things: I've been kidnapped... or I'm seriously constipated

Resistance cannot be seen, touched, heard or smelled. But it can be felt. We experience it as an energy field radiating from a work-in-potential. Its aim is to shove us away, distract us, prevent us from doing our work.

New blog post: Test driven writing (or documentation)
mostlymaths.net
During the writing (and rewriting) of my last two posts I had this idea: what if we could leverage LLMs for a closed-loop rewriting cycle?

I finished what I think of as version 2.0 of Goita, my screenshot annotation extension: https://t.co/Y9CURiTNYP - Works standalone-ish (Chrome only, I've been lazy) - With a set of bundled searchable memes. Add them to screenshots or just caption them https://t.co/3wfcs8brOo

Note that I meant to write "it is faster to write your own extension than finding one you like"

I wrote another custom Chrome extension. Once you get the hang of it, it's very easy to find minor annoyances where it is faster to write your own extension than writing one you like. This one is for jumping across tabs, having images of them: https://t.co/GgwuFkiOZU

It took me just 1 day to add features 😒 Resizable pasted images, resizable text bounding boxes and centrable text. Basically features useful to add memes to screenshots, or create memes out of screenshots. Or both. Maybe.
I have added ellipses, clipboard mode (so instead of a webpage screenshot you can take in anything from the clipboard to annotate) and text size for text boxes. So, this is version 1.0, I don't have any more features planned, at most just some polish. https://t.co/Y9CURiTNYP

A follow up post with what I asked Gemini for and how the process went to develop Goita
mostlymaths.net
I got some questions about how exactly did I use Gemini when creating a project, after posting my previous post. This is the answer.

Goita v0.9 🎉 I have polished how it works, added tests and now there is a demo video, find it here: https://t.co/kmCp6F13Nu I consider it "finished". I'd like to add circles/ellipses, and maybe lines, and there is likely something more to polish, but works
Finished another small personal project with the help of @GeminiApp A Chrome extension to annotate screenshots, in the particular way I wanted it to work: https://t.co/Y9CURiTNYP
