most depressingly of all: the image of the histrionic (white) tenderqueer 'crying suicide' is one that emerges from the belly of the right wing. you are following their rulebook!.

now is certainly not the time to be turning your nose up at or mocking others you could stand in community with. understand the plight; support or be the solution.

an epidemic of hopelessness will be felt most by people with the least agency to change their oppressive, material circumstances (young people, homeless people, very poor people). the image of the histrionic tenderqueer that you are circulating is robbing you of compassion.

the trevor project (specifically for young LGBTQ+ people) saw a 700% increase in calls.
