I just want to give a shout-out to DVDs. I thought I hated DVDs but turns out I just hate owning DVDs. Between @vidiots and the public library, my kids and I have been having a real DVD-y time. The quality is (now) shockingly great. Lotta weird old stuff. Cheap. An outing. DVDs!.

Leaving the Palladium tonight, I was struggling backing out of the tiny parking lot, and two lovely strangers went into dad mode and helped me. “Are you WGA?” I shouted. “Why do you ask?” “Because we help each other!” I said in a cartoon chipmunk voice, drunk on solidarity.
