The line separating inorganic and organic reality is translucent, thin, and tenuous:
kinesin (a motor protein) moving a molecule around a cell. this process is happening constantly throughout the body. kinesins move at a rate of 2000 nm/s, meaning they take ~250 of these tiny steps a second (this clip is greatly slowed down).

Quiet, crisp NY Sunday's in October and November almost make the hustle of living in this city worth it. For a few precious hours every week things it almost feels like everything is going to be alright and we aren't all in middle of a political and ecological free fall.
