The publishing industry has coped with enormous upheaval and flux over the last decades and should be applauded for just surviving. But can someone explain why there's still a 6 month delay between hard and paper back print runs?

The Conservative Party once believed in the rule of law and our shared British values - no longer.

Extraordinarily tense, full of smart people making smart decisions and layer upon layer of moral decisions. #AHouseOfDynamite is the sort of movie they don't make any more, and may easily be my film of the year. See it on a big screen if you can.

Spent 30 minutes tearing the flat apart looking for my office pass this morning. Gave up, ready to accept my punishment for losing it. And here is my front door:

So, an AI “band” who cite us as an influence (ie, it’s modelled off our music) have just overtaken us on Spotify, in only TWO months. It’s shocking, it’s disheartening, it’s insulting - most importantly - it’s a wake up call. Oppose AI music, or bands like us stop existing.

Staggeringly relevant, often hilarious, a reminder the fight is never over. #OneBattleAfterAnother

As you'd expect from a Greengrass movie #TheLostBus superbly highlights the work and decision making of the emergency services against a frankly terrifying prospect of entire communities wiped away by fire. Unfortunately the tension is regularly by McConaughay's backstory.

I think I’ve seen this film before, and I didn’t like the ending.
‘There’s a new phenomenon: Farage Derangement Syndrome.’ @Nigel_Farage hits back at @EdwardJDavey’s claim that Reform want to turn the UK into ‘Trump’s America.’

Budapest Pride has been nominated for the Sakharov Prize, which is an honour in itself! 🏆 This is thanks to all who joined the 30th Budapest Pride March. Together we made history and we’ll keep fighting until the fascist restrictions on Hungary’s assembly law is repealed. ✊🌈

It's great to see the band back together (as it were) for #SpinalTapTheEndContinues and the concept of one final performance works but it feels scattershot in execution with less than half of the jokes landing. Can only really recommend for the fans.

I never watched the series because it seemed to be nothing more than soapy propaganda for the class system, #DowntonAbbeyTheGrandFinale proves that. Dreadful exposition heavy dialogue, short digestible scenes, subtext free performances. Please don't make another.

I feel guilty about not seeing any docs in TIFF. #LostinTheJungle: Thoughful recreation of Columbian plane crash survivors. I wanted more exploration of the relationship between army & indigenous rescue teams (less of pre-crash family dynamics) but no denying the effectiveness.

Farewell Robert Redford, iconic actor, celebrated director and visionary who's championing of independent filmmakers through Sundance radically changed the way we see movies. And just a wonderful man.

#TIFF50 - Film 27 (last one) - #DeadMansWire Timely and tense reenactment of major kidnap media event in 1977. Excellent ensemble work, with real Dog Day Afternoon vibes.
