All classes are 35 minutes long today so I gave students 5 options of things to work on and the four kids by my desk are helping with one of their essays. They all have it shared to their laptop and are giving feedback and it is the coolest thing ever. So proud and happy. #win

Kids in class are finishing up their final drafts, self-assessing, and reflecting all day each period and I have Soundgarden going on the speakers. I’m thriving.

Read the first batch of student essays this weekend (juniors). One compared his “challenging” teacher last year to the teacher in the movie “Whiplash” and seemed kinda grateful to have gone through it. Not sure how I feel about that…
