🚨 What does it feel like to face an emergency department as an #autistic, #ADHD, or #AuDHD adult? Thank you to GRRAND for the opportunity to write about neurodivergent-inclusive emergency care and my thinking behind my PhD research, the NEEDs Project 🔗

Ops! That link didn't work. Now fixed: New PhD blog post being a radiographer researching emergency care. I explore shifting between insider/outsider positionality & many ways I am part of what I study, and how this brings insight, but also tension. 🔗

I've written a new PhD blog post being a radiographer researching emergency care. I explore my shifting balance between insider/outsider positionality, explicitly the many ways I am part of the system I study, and how this brings insight, but also tension. https://t.co/UtDBn0VF3x

I had a great time at the Co-production and Participatory Research Showcase at City St George’s. It brought together inspiring researchers from across law, education, and health & medical sciences, all who care about the communities they conduct their research with.

A&E staff really don't have enough training to manage people in a mental health crisis. Here's my experience of being in A&E during a mental health crisis and how things can be approached differently 🧵

.@SingaporeAir broke my wheelchair wheels. It isn't cosmetic. They've entirely torn through the shrink wrap protecting the structural integrity of the loop wheels. They are no longer waterproof.
Neither @SingaporeAir nor @AerLingus know where my wheelchair is. I need it to work, to live, to parent. Lads it's actually gone. I'm leaving the airport without my wheelchair. I am so broken. So so very broken.

I am very sad to hear about the passing of Karl Nottage. He was one of the 1st people to support me back in 2020 as a student radiographer on Twitter. He was always kind, encouraging, and generous with his time. He will be greatly missed. https://t.co/lw5234gtcz

I’m incredibly honoured to be an invited speaker at #ASMIRT26 in Tasmania next March. It’ll be my first time in Australia. I’m so grateful for the chance to share my research and contribute to such a major international event. Thank you to the Scientific Committee!

Huge thanks to the Symposium Mammographicum & (Dr) Noelle Clerkin for the very kind invitation to speak about autistic people & healthcare. It was a true pleasure to share the session with Apollo (& family). A beautiful location and a packed engaged audience too! #SympMamm2025

It’s time for all health research to shift from studying #neurodivergent individuals as passive objects to co-producing knowledge that matters.
