How naive of UC to think that Dehat can be undone by UC bourgeoisie. It's not that UCs didn't try but they weren't able to do it(they simply can't). Dehat can only be undone by one of their own. Mao was not bourgeoisie but came from a peasant family engaged in. .

This is the next level of dishonesty. After 1991 privatisation of education started and Govt schools were closed where these kinds of practices were common. In Govt school of my village, these practices still exist, but I have not seen them in any private school in Surat.
Indian schools had that tradition. Till 60s/70s I guess…and then socialism happened!.
