UN Resident Coordinators in the Arab States are working with communities to respond to regional crises, tackle water stress, and support young people as agents of change. Their efforts are helping unlock the region’s potential and accelerate SDG progress for people and planet.

I visited Amman New Camp, in Jordan, where @UNRWA delivers vital services to Palestine refugees — from health to education — amid due constraints. The @UN remains committed to @UNRWA in solidarity with Palestine refugees and their host communities.

Next week’s High-level Conference on the Question of Palestine and the Implementation of the Two-State Solution is an important step toward sustainable peace. I commend co-chairs, France and Saudi Arabia, for their leadership and commitment to facilitate this event.
