Love that you pushed me on the security angle — bold, and I respect it. Local pairing definitely cuts cloud exposure and reduces the attack surface. But you lose global access control (nanny leaves, phone lost, etc.) and add friction for multi-home / multi-device users. Still,
@bartmcdonough @mehul Bart. Pairing locally is even safer from security POV than accounts where information needs to live in cloud. Also, you can have as many robot through same app regardless of homes. It’s not tied up a home.

Excellent take
Wifi passwords should disappear everywhere (hotels, homes, airports, restaurants/coffee shops). We probably waste over 100m person hours a year collectively typing in wifi passwords. Your phone should just auto-connect wherever you are, like cell towers. And no, none of those
