Illinois: $1 billion in battery investment will save consumers $13 billion in capacity costs. This is what @JigarShahDC and I have been talking about the past years. As capacity costs rise while battery costs plummet, we will see more of this. https://t.co/xpc1zHMxHE

Yes, the target set by the Government's Zero Emissions Vehicle (ZEV) Mandate for the % of new cars sold by manufacturers in 2025 that are EVs is 28% But there's a big BUT here: Many manufacturers don't need to get anywhere near 28% to comply with the mandate Why?

On @BBCr4today this morning Stellantis' UK Director said the following: "EV sales continue to grow...but not at the level demanded by the government's budget legislation. Remember, we're tasked to achieve 28% this year" This is inaccurate - here's why: https://t.co/V8VEiLyO30

A new study has found that EVs offset their energy-intensive production and become cleaner than gas cars after just 3 years, according to Duke and Northern Arizona University. Gas-powered vehicles were also found to cause at 2X as much environmental damage over their lifetimes

Pleased to say we were recently successful in getting the @southwalesargus to publish a correction to an article in which they claimed that a local car fire was an EV... ...despite the fire service categorically saying that it wasn't https://t.co/n53NiUdsKq

The @BBCNews continues to get its reporting on EVs wrong Quotes Vauxhall as saying "the [EV sales] target this year is 28%. At the moment we're running at 21.6% as an industry" Wrong Flexibilities, that the car industry lobbied for, lower the target for 2025 to 22%

Lots of Gov EV announcements in last 24hrs And lots of dodgy reporting The best/worst being this gem from @BBCNews "The average price of a new EV in the UK is nearly double the cost of a typical petrol car at £22,000" Categorically wrong - here's why: https://t.co/MEpwR26ypb

This story really was gold standard misinformation. Every global data set available shows that electric cars are significantly less likely to catch fire than combustion cars. And why no mention of the tens of thousands of ICE fires every year? A new low point for the Telegraph
Here's some A-grade EV misinformation from the @Telegraph "EV fires up 77% in two years!!!" What the @Telegraph fails to mention is that the number of EVs on our roads has gone up 105% in those 2 years Which means the frequency of EV fires has actually gone down! 1/4

Disappointing to see @DailyMail has repeated this misleading story about a 77% increase in EV fires in 2 years Fails to mention that: a) EV numbers have increased 105% in that time, meaning frequency of EV fires has fallen b) EVs are MUCH less likely to catch fire than petrols
