To AdComs: When you see a Low-SES applicant applying to your school, you should feel honored and know that this applicant thought long and hard on where to send their money. Applying to school isn't cheap for ANYONE and especially burdensome on Low-SES applicants.

I'm going to sound like a hater, but I never understand when these teenagers rush to the workforce. Ppl are always so impressed by the youngest doc/lawyer/PhD/etc. But like??? Can you just focus on being a kid?

This has been very interesting to navigate as a couple who is/are: 1.) one being established in their career & debt repayment / one just now in the tail end of training/education & beginning repayments 2.) doing things a little backwards (house -> marriage) 3.) not in our 20s
A marriage in which the couple doesn’t share bank accounts, phone access, debts, etc, … Isn’t a full marriage.
