Redbird Review: Albert Pujols isn’t still waiting for a MLB managing job. Should we be surprised? It’s complicated. I explain. #STLCards
stlsportscentral.com
Pujols is the only MLB player to put together an illustrious resume that includes the combination of 3,000+ hits, 2,000+ runs batted in, 700+ homers and multiple league MVP awards.

Bernie Show: Mizzou's momentum has stalled under coach Eli Drinkwitz, who has done a fantastic job overall but can't break through to beat elite SEC teams. Also: what a terrible passing-game plan for the Texas A&M game. https://t.co/Ev9Kgp0eUk via @YouTube

My #Mizzou Preview: A season on the brink and a chance for the Tigers to change the doom-gloom script by knocking off No. 3 Texas A&M.
stlsportscentral.com
Saturday in CoMo, Missouri’s football team will dig in to protect the home field, mount a successful resistance against Texas A&M to repel the nation’s No. 3 team, and come away with a season-saving...

Redbird Review: A look at Chaim Bloom’s top priority for the #STLCards offseason. Pitching.
stlsportscentral.com
Chaim Bloom has made no attempt to conceal, or otherwise downplay, the Cardinals’ desire to add pitching during his first offseason as the president of baseball operations.

Bernie Show: After another poor performance and his bizarre reaction to Ovechkin's 900th career goal, I must ask the question: Is Jordan Binnington cracking? #stlblues

REDBIRD REVIEW: #STLCards shortstop Masyn Winn will hit at a higher level. Just give it some time.
stlsportscentral.com
Winn, 23, had one of the greatest defensive seasons by a shortstop since the Gold Glove was first awarded in 1957.

Redbird Review: a history of the #STLCards draft-development success and why it’s important to restore a lost strength. I brought plenty of receipts. Know Thy Franchise.
stlsportscentral.com
Until fairly recently, the Cardinals have absolutely been a robust draft-and-develop team under Bill DeWitt Jr.

Bernie Show: no, there are no similarities that matter between the 2025 Blue Jays and what the #STLCards are planning for 2026. Stop with the ridiculous narratives. Good grief. https://t.co/Pds6Yef8Bg via @YouTube

My take on the why the Dodgers won the World Series. A big part was LA’s NBA-style approach to roster management.
stlsportscentral.com
The generously funded Dodgers have competed in every MLB postseason since returning to the playoffs in 2013 after a three-year absence.

Bernie Show: Not only did #STLCards shortstop Masyn Winn deserve the Gold Glove, but his 2025 season was one of the best defensive seasons by a shortstop in MLB history. And he did this at a really young age. https://t.co/XYUUcmhHoA via @YouTube

Oh, Canada! Are the Blue Jays about to save MLB from ruination? (Sarcasm). But we either overrated the Dodgers or underestimated the Toronto. Maybe both things are true.
stlsportscentral.com
In their 162 regular-season games, the Blue Jay hitters had the lowest strikeout rate in the majors

Bernie Show for Thursday: The #STLCards have declined to hire Yadier Molina as a coach in 2026, a decision that I fully expected, and the reasons may be unpopular but make sense. https://t.co/Aoz6xrklAk via @YouTube

The greatest. Miss that man. He was so helpful and supportive to me in my development as a young sportswriter in St. Louis. A favorite memory: driving Mr. Broeg to and from Mizzou football home games. The stories. The conversations. Hanging with the legend.
#OTD 2005 - Legendary sportswriter Bob Broeg died at the age of 87 in Creve Coeur, MO. Broeg was a titan, who wrote for the St Louis Post-Dispatch from 1945 to 2004. He also served on the Hall of Fame's Board of Directors from 1972-2000, and won too many awards to fit into this

My Mizzou Review column: as the coaching carousel spins crazily, what's being said about #mizzoutigers coach Eli Drinkwitz? And does his lousy record against ranked teams lower his percentage of landing one of the big jobs?
stlsportscentral.com
Around these parts, there’s considerable interest in the status and future of Missouri head coach Eli Drinkwitz.

The disappointing #stlblues unexpectedly have continued the trend of losing STL sports teams, following the down seasons by the #STLCards and #StLouisCityFC ... No excuses. Time to wake up, Blues. https://t.co/GFIR3NXoXV via @YouTube

Today’s column: the Kansas City Chiefs have the mojo back. Huge difference in the passing game since the return of WRs Worthy and Rice. I have some good numbers in here.

The Chiefs have that inevitable look again.
